Emraan Hashmi: Sharafat Is Not Something I am Known For On-screen

Emraan Hashmi is finally back Dubai after his extensive shoot of Hamari Adhuri Kahaani. Hashmi, who will be seen opposite his The Dirty Picture co-star Vidya Balan was extremely happy with the first schedule wrap up of the Mohit Sure film. Speaking to Koimoi, ahead of Ungli, the actor informed us, “We have finished 60% of the film. We have shot in Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Cape Town. It is a different space for me. It is a love story.”

But it’s not coming all that fluently to Hashmi. Is it? With his trademark wicked smile, he quipped about his only glitch, “I am supposed to look like a good guy on-screen. Sharafat is not something I am known for on-screen. So it was a little tough job to be nice on-screen. But some of them who have seen it, find it emotional and hard hitting. College students can go out on a date on a film like this. Love is evergreen and on-screen it makes great watch if it is done properly with right emotion and intention. Thankfully it is not a rom-com, I don’t like rom-com. This is more intense and edgy romance. This film is true to what romance is. Romance isn’t devoid of any problems. It has fights and the film brings in all those elements.”

Hamari Adhuri Kahaani is Mohit Suri’s next after the massive success of Ek Villain, earlier this year. The script of this film is being guided by Mahesh Bhatt, and Mohit has again set out to make a heartwrenching love story which hopefully will do justice to the simmering intense chemistry of Vidya and Emraan, which most films before have not used to the best of their potential.
