Raja Natwarlal : Prayer after promotions for Emraan Hashmi and Humaima Malick

The lead pair of Raja Natwarlal drove to Ajmer after a hectic day of promotions in Jaipur

Emraan Hashmi and Humaima Malick, along with director Kunal Deshmukh, were in Jaipur to promote their film Raja Natwarlal on Monday, from where they went on to visit the dargah in Ajmer yesterday. Addressing a press conference in Jaipur, Emraan said, "Indian audiences are predominantly escapists, who want to cheer, enjoy and have fun. And my upcoming film is a complete entertainer, which will make them laugh and enjoy. It's the biggest unique selling point of any film. Jaipur has always liked my films and this, too, will be a hit with the audiences here." Speculations were rife that he is reprising the role played by Amitabh Bachchan in Mr Natwarlal, released in 1979. On being asked about similarities between the two characters, Emraan clarified, "There is no comparison between Mr Bachchan's Mr Natwarlal and my film. Both are different in terms of content and music. My film is not about the Indian conman Mithlesh Kumar, on which his film was based. It's a story of a street conman, who turns into India's biggest conman. It's an emotionally driven film, with necessary punches of action and drama."

Pakistani actress Humaima Malick, who is foraying into Bollywood with this film, is also sure of the film's success. She also talked about her on-screen chemistry with Emraan, saying, "I was excited to do my first film with such a great actor, who is very popular among the masses. I learnt a lot from him - punctuality, acting skills and so much more." On being asked about the responses from her country on the intimate scenes in the film, she said, "People in Pakistan as well Dubai are excited to watch it. They are waiting for its release, so I don't think there is any kind of apprehension. As far as kissing scenes are concerned, even actresses like Madhuri Dixit and Vyjayanthimala have done intimate scenes, so there's nothing wrong with them." To get into the skin of the character, the actress visited bars in Mumbai, and worked on her dancing skills. "I am not just playing a bar dancer who does nothing except moving her booty on the floor. I am playing an intense lover. But to get the mannerisms of a bar girl right, along with Kunal, I did visit some of the bars in Mumbai and met a few bar dancers."
