Emraan Hashmi is lucky. Or so he was, until recently. All his movies have been hits. But of late, Emraan's pace at the box office has slowed down. Poor choice of films? or bad luck? With the release of 'Raja Natwarlal', which is yet again in the commercial space that the actor is comfortable in, things were expected to look up for Emraan. But the poor response to the film shows that this is not the film which will bring him back in the box office game.
Emraan has done too many experimental films in recent times. From 'Shanghai' to 'Ghanchakkar' to 'Ek Thi Daayan' and that has cost him heavily. He has not only lost out on his star power index but somehow also compromised on his 'viable commercial hero' avatar.
'Raja Natwarlal' was meant to be Emraan's comeback to the genre of films he masters. Typical Bollywood films with loads of mirch-masala, a pretty heroine, some many smooching scenes- that's a trademark Emraan Hashmi outing but it hasn't worked. His latest film 'Raja Natwarlal' hasn't opened upto decent box office collections, and looks like he has to wait for another film to prove his credentials yet again.
