Mr. X – Emraan Hashmi and Amyra Dastur’s upcoming flick – is a 3D sci-fi thriller directed by Vikram Bhatt. In the film, Emraan plays the invisible man and tries to take revenge of all the people who did injustice to him. The full song Teri Khushboo has just been released, and seems quite disappointing. We expected a lot more from the expert of romantic songs, Arijit Singh, but unluckily he has just not impressed us this time! Teri Khushboo is a slow song and begins well but loses its charm on the way. We have had some very good romantic tracks coming from the Bhatt camp, including Khamoshiyaan, Murder series, Raaz 3D, Jism 2 and many more. Listening to all those tracks made one realise the beauty of romance, but the same cannot be said about Teri Khushboo. The new song’s tune, composed by Jeet Gannguli, is not at all catchy neither is it melodious. We can just say that the lyrics of Teri Khushboo by Rashmi Singh hold a deeper meaning about love, but the song does not bring out the same. Arijit Singh tried his best to attract the attention of the audiences with his melodious voice, but the song is a pain to our ears.
Maybe more work on tune and melody would have created magic but the makers of Mr. X tried to appeal to the audience with only the song’s look. The overall presentation in the video shows Emraan is trying to escape from his love Amrya. The video contains broken parts from the entire movie, which are rather predictable.
It’s heart-breaking when audience expectations from a singer like Arijit Singh are not fulfilled. The Teri Khushboo song might not gain entry into the music chart. Nevertheless, take a look at Emraan Hashmi and Amyra Dastur’s chemistry in the song. And do let us know if you loved the romantic track sung by the soulful singer.
