Mohit Suri is on a roll as a director in the last few years. He bounced back from the debacle of ‘Crook’ with three back-to-back hits ‘Murder 2’, ‘Aashiqui 2’ and ‘Ek Villain’. ‘Ek Villain’ especially was a blockbuster as the film managed to enter the 100-crore club. However, that film was not with the Bhatts and with’ Hamari Adhuri Kahaani’ he is coming back to the Bhatts after one film outside the banner.
Mohit has managed to secure a casting coup by getting three powerful actors on board for the film, Emraan Hashmi, Vidya Balan and Rajkummar Rao. All of them are known for their acting skills as well as their star power. Seems like the film has finished shooting and is all geared up for release on 12 June.
Though Mohit might be a big director now considering his string of hits, but still he would need an approval from ace director-producer Mahesh Bhatt before he can go ahead with the film. He recently showed ‘Hamaari Adhuri Kahaani’ to Mahesh Bhatt. He tweeted, ‘Bhatt saab @MaheshNBhatt watches #HamariAdhuriKahaani . It's amazing how he reacts so passionately to every frame.’
Mohit also posted a picture of Bhatt’s hands in the air while watching a scene from the film. Whether that is a sign of joy or dejection, we can only guess. Mohit surely considers it a positive sign for the movie, else he wouldn’t have tweeted.
