Emraan Hashmi to use Mohammad Azharuddin's bat in biopic.

Emraan Hashmi is all set to essay the role of Mohammad Azharuddin in an upcoming biopic, and to prepare for the film, he is leaving no stone unturned.

The Bollywood actor has been busy with a rigorous training programme that started in January this year. Interestingly, Azhar has also been attending these sessions to help Emraan in whatever way he can.

Apparently, the former Indian cricket team captain even gave the actor his bat to practice and shoot with.

A source informs that the duo came up with the idea during one practice session. "Emraan and Azhar were practising and the former cricketer had got his bat with him. They both felt that using the same bat during the shoot would look more authentic," says the source.

The film that is being directed by Anthony D’ Souza will go on the floors in May this year, and the bat will be returned to Azhar after the shoot.  "The unit has been asked to take extra care of the bat so that it is not misplaced or damaged in any manner. They all know how attached the cricketer is to his personal belonging with which he has played several games for the country," adds the source.

The film’s spokesperson confirmed the news.
