Bollywood actor Emraan Hashmi as part of promoting his forthcoming Raja Natwarlal, sold film tickets in black at Mumbai's single screen cineplex, Gaeity, recently.
But when Emraan began to get in the groove of this stunt, the crowd at Gaiety began to misbehave. First, came verbal taunts with not so kind language. This was followed by Emraan 'plastic bombed', when a member from the crowd decided to throw something at him concealed in a plastic bag!
An embarrassed Hashmi noticed this, quickly got out of the way, and his security detail took over. He left the venue in a hurry.
Poor Emmi! He usually steers clear of OTT promotions and publicity. And trying his luck out when a Salman Khan film has pumped up the single screen audiences with excitement, might just have backfired on him.
