The makers of Ghanchakkar, UTV Motion Pictures, have yet again managed to come up with a unique promotional strategy for their film. The last time, they announced a treasure hunt, and this time they plan to send their lead actors, Emraan Hashmi and Vidya Balan to railway stations across the city.
A source close to the production reveals, “A lot of the movie has been shot at various stations in the city and in Delhi. But since Mumbai plays an important part in the film, the makers have decided to kick-start from here. Emraan and Vidya will pay surprise visits to the stations and will also sell tickets at the counters. They will even encourage commuters to take the route they took while travelling in the movie.”
Ask director Raj Kumar Gupta about this and he says, "The Mumbai local train is one of the most integral elements of the film and the makers are planning some fun and unique promotional methods for Ghanchakkar around local trains, one of them being Vidya and Emraan visiting the stations that feature in the film.”
The actors will be heading to the Dombivli, Borivali, Kandivali, Malad, Bandra, Santacruz, Khar stations among others.
