Emraan Hashmi's Mr. X earns Rs 13.99 cr in the opening weekend

Emraan Hashmi's latest offering Mr X might have been panned by the critics but the sci-fi drama has able to earn Rs.13.99 crore in the opening weekend. A tale of an invisible man taking on the baddies in Mr. X has done average business at the box-office in the opening weekend.


The film managed to collect only Rs.4.50 crore on Friday, which further dipped on Saturday as the film was able to make only Rs.4.39. However, the film did good business on Sunday by raking in Rs.5.1 crore.

Produced by Vishesh Films and directed by Vikram Bhatt, the film features Emraan Hashmi as an invisible man who seeks revenge for all the wrongs done to him. It also features Amyra Dastur and Arunoday Singh.

The film is made on a budget of Rs.40 crore (including marketing and distribution costs) and has already received Rs.27 crore (for satellite and music rights), read a statement.
