Mahesh Bhatt’s plans to convert his next film with Emraan Hashmi into a franchise include a game and a comic book.

Emraan Hashmi’s creative association with Mahesh Bhatt goes back a long way. Most of their previous outings together have culminated in hits, including franchises such as Murder and Jannat. The Bhatts are now planning for yet another franchise with the actor, but the series will go beyond the realm of films. “After the release of the film, Mahesh Bhatt is planning to continue the story across different platforms, so that the audience can live with the lead character even after the film finishes its theatrical run,” says a source.
The source further adds that Bhatt is planning to develop the protagonist through games and comic books. “The content of the games and comics will be different from what will be shown in the movie, but it will be an extension of the film. The audience will be regularly given fresh elements before the sequel comes out.”
When contacted, Bhatt confirmed the development saying, “Yes, it is true that we have a franchise plan with the film. A lot has been lined up, and we will unveil our plans one step at a time.”
