Emraan Hashmi Takes Tamil Lessons For Azharuddin Biopic

Earlier this week, Emraan Hashmi had revealed that preparing for his role as former cricketer Mohammad Azharuddin — in an upcoming biopic —was giving him "sleepless nights".
He has been busy taking cricket lessons for a few months for the same. Now, the Bollywood actor will also learn to speak in Tamil, for the role.
A source close to Emraan says, “He has been discussing the sport with Azharuddin and has also been trying to get a deeper insight into the cricketer’s life. However, in certain portions of the film, Emraan will be required to speak in Tamil. And since he is not familiar with the language, he will have to take classes.” He will be taking these lessons from a professional starting mid-March.
The source adds, "The concentration will be on his diction and pronunciation."
When contacted, Emraan confirmed the news, saying, "Yes, I’m learning to speak in Tamil for the role as it is necessary. It will be a course of eight weeks and I’m looking forward to learning a new language."
The film is being directed by Anthony D’Souza.
