Kareena Kapoor Khan too busy for Emraan Hashmi's Azhar

It looks like Kareena Kapoor Khan's reel pairing with Emraan Hashmi isn't meant to be.

The actress will not be essaying the part of Sangeeta Bijlani in the biopic on Mohammed Azharuddin, starring Emraan as the former Indian cricket captain. Reason being that she's unable to allot dates for this Anthony D'Souza directed film that is scheduled to start shooting this summer.

A well-placed source tells us that after meeting producer Ekta Kapoor, Kareena had event met Anthony for the narration. However, some days later, she had conveyed to the makers that she can't accommodate her dates in their schedule.

Says our informer, "Kareena has to first wrap up Salman Khan's Bajrangi Bhaijaan, which is scheduled to release this Eid. Next, she's committed to Abhishek Chaubey's Udta Punjab, also featuring Shahid Kapoor and Alia Bhatt. So she can't give her dates this summer to the Azharuddin biopic."

Interestingly, Kareena and Emraan were to team up a couple of years ago for another film, jointly produced by Ekta and Karan Johar. But eventually that project didn't take off.
