Shahid Kapoor and Emraan Hashmi were all set to share screen space together in his next Udta Punjab, news reports had suggested. But now, we hear Vicky Donor star Ayushmann Khurrana will replace Emraan to star in the film as the second lead.
Abhishek Chaubey, who has directed Ishqiya and Dedh Ishqiya will helm the film, which is touted to be a thriller. The film will go on floors in 2015.
Another source close to the actor confided revealing that the Vicky Donor actor has already heard the narration and even finished the look test for the film.
Now, it needs to be seen how the Shahid-Ayushmann pair fare in the film.
