If rumours are to be believed Congress Party General Secretary, Digvijay Singh will be replacing Emraan Hashmi in Ghanchakkar 2. Producer Siddharth Roy Kapur confirmed the news, “Yes its true. We wanted an original, authentic character for the role.”
Dream role.
Sources tell us that Digvijay Singh was also approached for a key role in the movie ‘Mental’ along side Salman Khan. “Madamji wanted me to take up Ghanchakkar,” said Singh. “She said I’d fit the role perfectly.”
Congress spokesperson, Sanjay Jha seemed very pleased with this step, “I think its a very secular move by the Congress party. We were originally very confused as to who to pick for the role – A tough decision between Digvijay Singh and Rahul Gandhi. But then Soniaji wanted to experiment with Mr. Singh first.”
When we approached Rahul Gandhi he said, “I think India is a beehive and also a boat. But actually, India is an energy – that we get from our rivers. Now the film industry is the wave and Digvijay Singh is the bee in the boat on the river.”
