There is no second thought about how Ajay Devgn and Emraan Hashmi’s performance together created a huge brand value for OUATIM franchise. The original was a super hit and comparisons have already begun between the 2 installments.
Ajay’s role as the powerful Sultan Mirza who was the messiah of the poor, fear of the rich and Emraan’s role as the evil Shoaib, someone who wants to be the only one who stands tall above everyone, is still fresh on the audience’s mind. Hence, Producer Ekta Kapoor and Director Milan Luthria planned something which has never done before in Industry.
The duo has decided to give special thanks to Ajay and Emraan in the opening credits of the film. It is quite a generous thought as no one has done this before. After all it was these two actors who started the franchise.
While Ajay’s character died in the first part, Emraan’s character is being taken forward by AKshay Kumar. Since the trailer of OUATIMD was out, comparisons between Akshay and Ajay begun as to who will top the chart of playing a gangster and it was pretty obvious as it was Ajay who ruled the roost and gave one of his best performances. Imran Khan and Sonakshi Sinha are the new additions to the sequel and the film is all set for a July release.
