Emraan Hashmi recollects his childhood days with Sanjay Dutt.

One of the last co-stars that Sanjay Dutt has worked with before surrendering is Emraan Hashmi. The two would be seen together in Karan Johar's UNGLI. While as a co-star, Emraan obviously had some great moments sharing screen space with the veteran actor, there is quite some recollection that he has when it comes to his growing up years.

Says Emraan, "As a kid, I used to watch movies at his place. He has worked a lot with Bhatt saab, especially at the beginning of his career, and we used to meet 20-25 years back as well."

He is particularly fond of the time that he spent at Sanjay Dutt's bungalow where the actor had a mini theatre of his own.

"Since our house was just opposite to that of his, we used to walk into his theatre. It used to be a very big thing back then to have an actor own a large screen at his own place," recollects Emraan, "He and his family were always gracious to allow us kids have a gala time at his place. Now I am looking forward to us coming together in UNGLI."

Incidentally, Emraan's grandmother had acted alongside Sanjay Dutt in Mahesh Bhatt's NAAM three decades back. Now after a skip of one generation, it is Emraan who would be seen alongside Dutt.
